More positive reactions are trailing President Bola Tinubu’s promise to complete the Eastern Rail Line and give Anambra Basin development support.
Speaking in Awka, the Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, said the Eastern Rail Line project, which passes through the Eastern capitals of Umuahia, Owerri, Awka, Enugu and Abakaliki when completed, would boost socioeconomic activities across the country by reducing cost of transportation; which would equally reduce cost of goods and services.
He noted that the Rail Line would also reduce pressure on roads; which would increase their life span, and further encouraged state governments in the zone to build state rail system to link the central rail and enhance inter connectivity.
