The Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has formally opened University on The UniNiger Permanent Site, Umunya and inaugurated some completed projects in the University.
The projects inaugurated include internal road within the University, students’ hostel, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, University Administrative block among others.
In a sermon Most Reverend Ndukuba said that Diocese on the Niger has continued to build on the legacies of the church fathers, advancing knowledge and equipping young people for the service of God and humanity.
The Chancellor of the University, Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo said that the University is the outcome of many years of labour and ceaseless pursuit of a noble vision.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Chinedu Nebo said in June, 2023, the Diocese received Federal Government’s license to float the University.
