The Mayor of Orumba North Local Government Area, Chief Casmir Nwafor has called on the people of Orumba North to join hands with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in fighting insecurity.

Speaking during the 2025 Orumba North Peace and Security Summit, Chief Nwafor who commended Governor Soludo for his pragmatic approach towards achieving relative peace and security in the State, revealed that plans are on ground to increase the number of the local vigilante groups as well as installation of a Close Circuit Television observation post in Orumba North to enhance security assuring that his administration will invest heavily in agriculture, education, sports, youth and women empowerment.

A keynote speaker, retired Brigadier-General Arinze Ebenebe who spoke on the theme, “Community Policing: A Typical Military Barracks Community”, stressed the need for community policing with the objective of upholding and enforcing the laws within their jurisdiction for the purposes of safeguarding people and property, while the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Ernest Ezeajughi as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Prince Ken Emeakayi stressed the need for security support to Governor Soludo.
