The remains of late Mrs Esther Okafor have been laid to rest at her husband’s family compound, Ifite village, Oko, Orumba North council area.

Aged eighty-three, the late Mrs Okafor was a renowned educationist, a devout Christian and a lover of all.

Correspondent Ngozi Obileri reports that her funeral service held at St John De Divine Anglican Church Oko, was officiated by the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, the Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor.

Her first Son, Mr Obi Okafor and first daughter, Mrs Joy Nnadi in an interview after the internment, described their late mother as a hard-working woman, one who built her way to a high status among the league of educationists and a mother to all.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo was among those present at the burial ceremony that featured condolence visits from friends, associates, relations and well-wishers.
