The remains of Ezinne Esther Ezeokafor, nee Ofordike, have been laid to rest at her husband’s compound, Enugwu, Adazi-Enu in Anaocha Council Area.
Aged seventy-four, the deceased, born to the family of Chief Andrew and Mrs Virginia Ofordike, was honored as “Conference Mother” by the women of Adazi-Enu Archdeaconry of Awka Anglican Diocese due to her service to humanity and God through the church.
In his sermon during church service at All Saints Anglican Church Adazi-Enu presided by over by Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, the Archdeacon, Adazi-Enu Archdeaconry, Venerable Dr Jeffrey Molokwu, who spoke on “The glorious home”, described the deceased as a woman of prayer whose testimonies are indelible, a good example of a virtuous woman.
Speaking after interment, Archbishop Ibezim charged the family to remain united and always live out their mother’s good legacies.
Among numerous others who came to sympathize with the Ezeokafor family, the Traditional Ruler of Adazi-Ani, Igwe Lawrence Arinze, said the deceased was instrumental to the achievements made by her husband as the first Traditional Prime Minister of the community.
Son of the deceased, Chief Onuora Ezeokafor, daughter, Nkiruka Ezeokafor and grandchildren led by Master Chukwuma Ezeokafor, among other things, described the deceased as one who loved showing love to people no matter the discomfort.
