The Chairman of Nigeria Legion, Anambra State Council, Dr Ben Eze-agbogu has urged Federal and State Governments to put in place welfare package for the families of the nation’s fallen heroes and veterans.

Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Dr Eze-agbogu who made the call at the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka appreciated Governor Soludo for signing six plots of land for the construction of secretariat for the council.

The State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefoh noted that fifteenth of January is remarkable to members of the armed forces because is a day set aside to honour the fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the unity, peace, development and sovereignty of the Nigerian nation.

Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Patrick Aghamba who commended the armed forces for their sacrifices urged Ndi Anambra to see security as a collective responsibility.
