The Commissioner for Environment, Dr Felix Odimegwu says the establishment of South East Development Commission by President Bola Tinubu will accelerate socio-economic development of the region.

Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Dr Odimegwu who stated this in Awka while speaking to journalists on the recent confirmation of Mr Mark Okoye as the Managing Director of the Commission, South-East will experience unprecedented development as the commission will provide essential infrastructural facilities such as roads, bridges, health facilities, enormous empowerments for the youths, in the region.

In his reaction, the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Tony Ifeanya praised President Tinubu for ending years of marginalization of the South-East by the past administrations by establishing the commission, which he said will give Ndigbo a region they will be proud of as the Commission is being piloted by someone who has excelled in public service.
