According to page twenty-six of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s manifesto, the state has thirty trillion cubic fit of Gas and one billion crude oil deposit in Anambra one, two, and three, presently under contention with Kogi State.
Worthy to note, is the one hundred- and fifty-three-kilometer pipe line infrastructure with fifteen inches pipe from Agbor in Delta State through River Niger to Amansea by the federal government.
The Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Anthony Ifeanya disclosed these while addressing the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Octave Analytics, mandated by Anambra State Executive Council, to build Anambra State Data Portal.
He maintained that the ministry is presently undergoing the enumeration of all storage facilities owned by the private sector including retail outlets, assuring their commitment to bringing all artisanal miners into cooperative society for better management.
According to the Commissioner between 2022 and 2023, the ministry was able to register two companies as special purpose vehicles to drive the activities in the Ministry.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Octave Analytics, Mr. Blessing Oladeji, informed the Commissioner that he is on a data drive in the state across all Ministries, Departments and Agencies that generate all sorts of data.
