Governor Chukwuma Soludo has warned communities involved in land dispute in the state against taking laws into their hands.
Governor Soludo gave the warning at the Government House Awka, through his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim who is the Chairman of Anambra State Boundary Committee, during a meeting with stakeholders of Omor and Anaku communities in Ayamelum Local Government Area over land issue between some sections of the communities.
Governor Soludo maintained that his administration is committed to entrenching lasting peace and harmony amongst communities across the state.
In their separate speeches, the Member representing Ayamelum at the state House of Assembly, Mr Bernard Udemezue, the state Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Tony Ifeanya, traditional ruler of Omor, Igwe Chris Chidume thanked the state government for wading into the issue between villages of both communities.
