President Bola Tinubu has formally written to the Senate; requesting an increase in the 2025 budget from forty-nine point seven trillion to fifty-four point two trillion naira.
Reading the letter during today’s plenary session, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, directed the Senate Committee on Finance and Appropriations on swift consideration, adding that the budget deliberation would be concluded and passed before the end of February.
