The Anambra State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mr. Daniel Onyeishi, has advised people to desist from drug abuse as it could lead to infertility and broken homes.
Onyeishi, who made the call through the Officer in charge of Drug Demand Reduction and Training in the agency, Mrs. Priscilla Onyema, during an ABS audience participatory program, “NDLEA AND YOU”, disclosed that drug abuse damages vital organs that causes erectile dysfunction, low sperm count, miscarriages, and leads to the delivering of deformed babies.
On his part, another guest and Director of Programme, New Leaf Rehabilitation Center, Umunze in Orumba South Council Area, Mr. Prince Chidi Chukwuemeka, who was a one-time drug addict, gave practical examples on how drug abuse destroys families, and how it could hinder someone from fulfilling his destiny.
