The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, is planning to empower over four point five million women across the country with the Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up initiative.
Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, who disclosed this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Jonathan Eze, stated the need for swift action to implement the Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up, just as the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Maryam Keshinro, underscored the power of unity and collaboration that affords women the opportunity to thrive, calling on state Commissioners for Women Affairs to prioritise the recruitment of high-quality project staff, as well as constitute relevant implementation structures without delay.
