Mr. Ikioye Orutugu has taken over from Nnaghe Obono Itam as the thirty-fifth Commissioner of Police in Anambra State.
Addressing the media, Mr. Orutugu said that he’s on a mission to fully reclaim the public space across the State as well as maintain law and order.
The Commissioner of Police who spoke in Nnewi during on-the-spot assessment of the unfortunate incident of the murder of three siblings who were dumped in a fridge in Nnewi, noted that he came to console the family and relatives of the victims and to reiterate the commitment of the State Police Command over the crime, and assured that they shall unravel the circumstances surrounding such incident and ensure that the suspects are arrested and justice served.
CP Orutugu made it clear that he has been briefed on how Ndi Anambra and the State Government through the launch of _Operation Udo Ga Chi__ have risen and joined voices in condemning any act that threaten national peace and have resolved to work together and discuss the issues.
