Launching of beams is currently on going on the Arroma flyover, a project embarked upon by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Works Correspondent, Ngozi Obileri; who monitored progress of work on the flyover reports that men of GELD Construction Company, the firm handling the project, were seen in their numbers discharging their duties at various levels.
Speaking to the ABS, Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma, and the Project Manager, Engineer Nilos Bouev, said the launching of beams will be completed in four days from yesterday, after which decking of the bridge will take place, adding that the project will be completed within one month.
The Chairman, Local Government Service Commissioner, Barrister Vin-Ifeanyi Ezeaka, said that for once, Awka capital city is beginning to assume the status of a state capital after so many years, commending Governor Soludo for seeing the need to change the aesthetics of the city through infrastructure development.
