Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, government officials and sympathizers were filled with emotions and tears as they gathered for a valedictory session in honor of the slain lawmaker representing Onitsha North Constituency One, Honourable Justice Azuka.
During the solemn session, the Speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze eulogized the late legislator for his impactful service to the Assembly, which he said will forever be remembered.
Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Dr Tony Nwoye, eulogized the lawmaker as law-abiding and peaceful, even though his life was cut short, while a former member that represented Onitsha North constituency One, Honourable Chigbo Enwezor, called for state policing to rejig the security architecture of the country.
The member representing Onitsha North constituency Two, Honourable Patrick Okafor, his Onitsha South One counterpart, Honourable Jude Umennajiego, and Honourable Fred Ezenwa; representing Onitsha South Two and others who could not hold back their tears eulogized the deceased.
Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, also attended the valedictory session in honor of Honourable Azuka, whose remains have been buried.
