The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtoochukwu Udeze, has assured that the legislature will strengthen the new Anambra Homeland Security Law; to support the Operation Udo Ga-Achi security outfit in achieving more for the state.
Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that Right Honourable Udeze, who gave the assurance when the Managing Director of ABS, Mr Christopher Molokwu, paid him a visit at the state legislative complex in Awka, noted that with the legislative support and greater commitment from security personnel, crime rate in the state would reduce.
The Speaker also remarked that although the state House of Assembly is composed of legislators from various political parties, it remains committed to making laws that fast-track development of the state.
