Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has called for increased collective action against insecurity in the state.

 

He made the call at a  burial mass attended by hundreds of ndị Anambra who came together to honor  the former lawmaker representing Onitsha North Constituency One at Anambra State House of Assembly, Late Honourable Justice Azuka, who was kidnapped and killed under circumstances that have left many in shock.

Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that the burial mass held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Onitsha, was marked by grief and a call to sustained action against criminals, as the Governor emphasized the need for collective efforts in ensuring public safety.

Governor Soludo, who joined family members, colleagues and constituents at the event, condemned the violence that claimed the lawmaker’s life, and requested all to join forces to uphold the safety and dignity of Anambra communities.

Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, and members of the eighth Assembly, former Governor Peter Obi, Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Tony Nwoye, Right Honourable Paschal Agbodike, members of the state Executive Council, attended the event.
