Youths of Umuatulu Ifiteani village, Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area have called on the state government to direct operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Chi to investigate the activities of one of their kinsmen whom they are accusing of complicity in different crimes in the community.

The youths made the appeal during a peaceful protest at the palace of the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Ralph Ekpeh, where their leader, Barrister Ralph Okonkwo, fingered one Mr Ebele Ngini as overthrowing the leadership of the village in June 2024, after which he unlawfully collected the firearms of the vigilante, and uninstalled all CCTV cameras mounted in the community.

Responding, Igwe Ekpeh recalled that there has been an investigation and recommendation made into the activities of the accused, Mr. Ngini, and assured that the law will take it right cause.

Speaking to our correspondent in a phone interview, the accused, Mr. Ngini, denied the allegations and described them as mere conspiracy against his person.
