The Federal Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman and former federal commissioner for Information, Chief Edwin Clark who died at the age of ninety-seven.

A release issued by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris described Chief Clark as a distinguished patriot and advocate for justice and equity and a key figure in Nigeria’s democratic evolution.

The federal government acknowledges his contributions to National progress, highlighting his advocacy, wisdom and unwavering commitment to democracy.
