The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun has presented cheques totally two point nine-nine billion naira to family members of fallen police officers.
Speaking during the cheque presentation, at the force Headquarters in Abuja, the IGP lamented the hardship the families of the dead police officers had face following delays in payment for years.
This latest disbursement covers policy years 2020–2024 and brings the total payout under the scheme to twenty point eight-four billion naira, benefiting seven thousand, one hundred and seventy-one families.
