The Bishop on the Niger, Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo has lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the present security architecture in the state, saying that in years to come, both the church and society will thank him for banishing darkness, corruption and evil which would have consumed the society.
Speaking to journalists at All Saints Cathedral Onitsha during collation of ten Canons and seven Archdeacons, Bishop Nwokolo, lamented that youths of today, in disobedience to the word of God and constituted authority, and in the quest to amass wealth illegally, said the church, which is the body of Christ, is a mirage, and went back to idolatry and other weird practices, thus creating fear and terror among the people.
He charged the newly collated Canons and Archdeacons to take up the responsibilities before them, defend the course of faith and teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
One of the newly elevated Priests, Reverend Canon Ugochukwu Ogunoegbunam, said their new positions call for total commitment, and promised to dedicate his life to the service of God and humanity.
