Governor Chukwuma Soludo has pledged to construct the road linking St. Augustine Rest Assured Hotel to Community High School both in Umunze and the Umunze Ultra-Modern Market.
Governor Soludo announced this during his visit to the community in Orumba South Local Government Area.
The road connects Umunze to Umuchu Bypass.
On his way to Umunze, the Governor and his entourage also stopped by at Ogbunka and Owerre-Ezukalla communities.
While addressing the public at Nkwo Umunze, Governor Soludo acknowledged the strategic importance of the community despite ongoing security challenges and sought the cooperation of the people in government’s fight against insecurity in the state.
He warned individuals still engaging in criminal activities to turn a new leaf and called on the youth to unite and combat insecurity.
The Governor also unveiled ambitious plans for the development of Owerre-Ezukalla waterfall and cave and the Ogbunike cave.
Mayor of Orumba South Local Government Area, Mr. Shaedrack Azubuike, thanked Governor Soludo for his ongoing efforts to give the council area a facelift while the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Foster Ihejiofor, lauded the Governor’s leadership, describing it as a beacon of hope that has revitalized the region.
Community leaders, including Presidents General from Owerre-Ezukalla, Chief Oliver Kolo, Sir Ezekiel Anyazo of Umunze, and Sir Timothy Ikedinma, commended the Governor for his developmental initiatives and requested further support for their communities.
The Governor was accompanied to the visit by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Special Adviser on Markets, Chief Evarist Uba, Chairman of the Anambra State Urban Regeneration Council, Architect Mike Okonkwo, Chief Executive Officer of Seahorse Lubricants, Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, and traditional rulers from the various communities.
