In continuation of his monitoring and evaluation tour of Entrepreneurship Development Institute, EDI, centers in the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the state under One Youth Two Skills initiative of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra state Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Aghamba on Wednesday toured five EDI centers in Onitsha North, Idemili North and South council areas.
Speaking to the ABS during the inspection tour, Mr. Aghamba said that Stream A of 2024/2025 batch has ended , adding that stream B will commence on Friday, 7th of March, 2025.
According to the Commissioner, twenty thousand youths will be trained in the stream B batch, which will last for six months adding that the stream A were taught thirty-three different courses after which they were coached on entrepreneurship by UNIZIK Business School, and other EDIs.
Appreciating Governor Soludo for giving them the life changing opportunities, some of the trainees including Miss Bonlanle Mustapha from Osogbo, in Ogun state, Nkemakonam Ibegbu from Umuase village Onitsha and Emmanuel Ogbu from Enugu Ezike, Enugu state, said they cannot thank Governor Soludo enough for the love he has for the youths of the state, assuring him of their support at all times.
