Comedians in Anambra State, under the umbrella of the Anambra Comedians and MCs Association, have demonstrated their support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s urban renewal and development agenda through a sanitation exercise in Awka and its environs.
Speaking after the exercise at Aroma and Eke-Awka Market, the Commissioner for Environment, Engineer Felix Odimegwu, and his Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism counterpart, Comrade Don Onyenji, emphasized the need for Ndi Anambra to take environmental issues seriously, even as they cautioned the people against harmful practices that threaten environmental health.
In separate interviews, the President of the Anambra Comedians and MCs Association, Mr. Wisdom Udemba, the Vice President, Mr. Pascal Nadi, and the Awka Coordinator, Mr. Valentine Obinwanne, stressed that transforming Anambra into a clean, green, and healthy mega city requires collective effort, as human activities are closely tied to the environment.
