The Federal Government has converted Kumo General Hospital in Gombe State into a Federal Medical Centre.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the move aims to enhance healthcare services in Gombe State and the Northeast, particularly in addressing poor maternal and neonatal mortality rates.
