As part of efforts to ensure adequate security of schools and students in the state under the Save School Initiative, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikioye Orutugu has visited Igwebuike Grammar School and Saint Patrick’s College Awka to assure the students of their adequate and maximum protection at all times.

Speaking during the visits, CP Orutugu noted that peace has returned to the State and that the security of the students are highly assured under his watch and Governor Chukwuma Soludo, regretting that the students had been under unnecessary apprehension before now because of pockets of insecurity.

For the Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Mrs. Ify Obinabo who joined the exercise, the State is safe since CP Orutugu arrived, through the efforts of Governor Soludo’s administration, adding that it is good to catch the students young and that the Government of Anambra State is working earnestly to secure the future of Anambra children, calling on them to always be of good behaviours.
