A Professor of Computer and Control Engineering at the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Steve Ufoaro, has described Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s achievements in three years in office as unprecedented.
Speaking in an interview with ABS Correspondent, Ngozi Obileri, Professor Ufoaro said that he has never seen a Governor deliver dividends of democracy as Professor Soludo since he returned from the North in 1993, noting that the Governor done well in providing road infrastructure, employment of teachers, building of the new Government House and Lodge, Solution fun city, passage of Homeland Security Law, among others, describing him as a prudent manager of resources.
Professor Ufoaro, who is the President General of Ifitedunu community, expressed happiness that his community has had her own share of Governor Soludo’s democracy dividends, as he said that eleven teachers were posted to their community school at once, among other things he said have never happened before.
While laying emphasis on providing quality education and skills as the best form of human capital development, Professor Ufoaro urged the Governor to domesticate the One Youths Two Skills initiative in such a way that communities will contribute their own quota in providing seed money for their children who have learnt skills under the program to enhance youth employment just like the Governor envisaged.
