The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Anambra State Chapter, in collaboration with the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has commemorated the 2025 Women’s Day with a strong call for women to actively support and uplift one another.
In her opening remark, the Chairperson of NAWOJ Anambra State, Comrade Tochukwu Ifejika, who underscored the vital role of women in reshaping the society, advocated equal opportunities for women to occupy well-deserved positions in various sectors.
The state Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, Chairman on the occasion and Acting Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, Professor Kate Omenugha, as well as the Chairman of the NUJ, Anambra State Council, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, urged women to ensure that no woman or girl child is left behind, stressing the need for deliberate efforts in supporting and amplifying female voices.
