Obele Women Empowerment Foundation has been launched in Awka.
Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the Chairman of the occasion and Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Chief Earnest Ezeajughi lauded OWEF for their commitment to economic empowerment of small women like artisans, farmers, hawkers among others and disclosed that Anambra State Government is putting in place conducive environment that will enable talented women to thrive.
While inaugurating the organisation, the Founder, Mrs Amara Oyeka explained that the organisation seeks to alleviate the sufferings and agony of women through education, training, information with a mission to support women development and to celebrate exceptional women in Nigeria and beyond.
On his part, the Co-Founder of the organisation, Dr Greg Ezeilo maintained that OWEF is determined to ameliorate the agony of women folk and the girl child.
