Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka kicked off convocation ceremony with lecture by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
The Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu noted that a total of eight thousand one hundred and fifty-seven graduands of 2023/2024 session will be received at the convocation, and reeled out achievements recorded by the institution since he assumed office.
While appreciating President Bola Tinubu, staff and students of the institution for their strong statement that brought back peace and stability to the institution, Professor Ikechebelu said that the convocation which featured award of Bachelor ‘s degree, Higher degree, Honorary awards and installation of emeritus professors, as well as commissioning of various projects already completed and presentation of awards to some eminent Nigerians, including the Minister of Health, Professor Mohammed Alipati.
