Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social welfare Mrs Ify Obinabo has charged Women to be agents of change where ever they find themselves.
Speaking on the significance of the 2025 Mothering Sunday being celebrated by some church denominations, Mrs Obinabo who decried the high rate of social vices in the society, charged mothers to help in fixing the society by improving its moral tone which she said will go a long way in redirecting the youths to the path of moral rectitude.
The Commissioner while felicitating with Anambra Women on this year’s Mothering Sunday on behalf of the Governor’s wife Dr Nonye Soludo regretted the high rate of divorce in the society which she blamed on the lack of knowledge of God, reminded Mothers the importance of educating and encouraging their children, especially the girl child on how to build a decent family.
