Anambra State communities have been urged to cooperate with federal and state governments to accelerate the construction of the access road to the Second Niger Bridge.

Speaking in Awka, the immediate Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene, said the completion of the project would enable Nigerians enjoy the full potential of the Second Niger Bridge and expressed satisfaction that the federal government has started making visible efforts to correct neglect of the past, especially with moves to complete abandoned road projects in the Southeast Zone to boost socioeconomic activities and reduce road crashes.

Chief Okeke Ogene noted that the commendation by Minister of Works, Engineer Dave Umahi of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s outstanding leadership and transformative achievements in all sectors is an affirmation that the Governor has entrenched good governance which other governors should emulate.
