Following his release from the Onitsha Correctional Centre after three days, members of Nnobi community in Idemili South Local Government Area, with about over twenty-one gun salutes and music, trouped out in their numbers to welcome their embattled President General, Barrister Dominic-Savio Okpala, who was dragged to court for allegedly attempting to change the constitution of the community against laid down procedures.

Speaking to the ABS after he was taken round Afor market and other strategic places by his supporters, Barrister Okpala, who said that enemies of progress in the community conspired to procure “Kangaroo justice” in order to nail him because he refused to work with a constitution fraudulently made, explained that efforts to enthrone peace in the community had been sabotage severally, but however called on the accused to toe the path of peace.

A one-time President General of the community between 2008 to 2011, Dr Mike Omenugha, who recalled ordeals he went through and efforts made to put the community on the path of progress, said the incumbent PG, Barrister Okpala, was sworn in with 2011 constitution of the community in 2021, wondering why he was asked to work with another constitution.
