Attaining the age of one hundred is widely regarded as a rare gift and a miracle from God, especially in a time when longevity seems increasingly elusive.

It was in this spirit that family members, in-laws, friends, and well-wishers of the Adogu family of Uffa Village, Aguluzigbo, in Anaocha Council Area, gathered from far and wide to pay their last respects and celebrate the life of their matriarch, Late Ezinne Hannah Mmaegbunam Adogu, who passed on at the remarkable age of one hundred and three.

Correspondent Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that during the burial service held at Saint Mark’s Anglican Church, Aguluzigbo, the Parish Priest, Reverend Canon John Ezeike, urged Christians to run their heavenly race to the end and not to stop halfway, in order to receive their heavenly crown after their sojourn on earth.

Speaking during the event, the children of the deceased including a former Clerk of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Walter Adogu, the first son of the family, Mr. Emmanuel Adogu, the second son, Mr. Chukwuemeka Adogu, and Mrs. Nkem Adogu-Mekwunye, as well as an in-law, Deacon Nosike Mekwunye, expressed gratitude to God for the life of their late mother who they described as a woman with exceptional love for God and humanity.
