The Umuifite Community alongside the broader Catholic community in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area gathered together to bid farewell and share testimonies of the good life lived by Chief Innocent Obujiofo Okoye.

Aged seventy-five years, the activities heralding the burial rites of the late Chief Okoye began with a requiem mass in his honour at Saint John Catholic Church, Agulu, where an indigenous priest, Reverend father Clement Ezeka described the late Chief Okoye as hard-working man, who always strive for the good of his family and those around him in total humility and submission in service to God.

The only son of the deceased, Chief Uche Okoye and his only daughter, Mrs Ada Onwuje said they celebrated his seventy-fifth birthday in February this year, not knowing that he will leave them too soon, describing him as a good man, who loved to see people around him happy at all times.

The immediate elder brother to the deceased, Chief Hilary Okoye, his son in law, Mr Ferdinand Onwuje, grand-children, Chimamanda Okoye and Ugochukwu Onwuje said they will miss his closeness and care.
