The Bishop, Methodist Church Nigeria, Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Onyekachi Nwakanma says God is faithful to fulfill all his promises if men can heed to his voice and work according to his directives.

 

Right Reverend Nwakanma stated this during the 2024 Covenant Service of fulfilment held at the Cathedral of Holy Trinity, Amenyi Awka.

The service which had as its theme ‘Arise and Build’ drew members from all the circuits in the diocese as they rededicated themselves to God and promised to serve and walk in his precepts and directives all through the year.

 

Right Reverend Nwakanma said as they have declared the year open, God has promised them of his grace which will lead them to receive God’s overflowing blessings.

Right Reverend Nwakanma noted that as a new Diocese, they will continue to spread the undiluted word of God, win souls and work hard so as to ensure that the Diocese stands out.

 

The guest preacher, Right Reverend Osondu Ekweremadu who is also the Methodist Bishop of Enugu North East said blessings of God awaits those who offer themselves willingly while highlighting the importance of entering into a covenant with God.

Among those who attended the service were the President, Women’s Ministry, Diocese of Awka, Mrs Lydia Nwakanma, the Lay President, Sir Douglas Mba, Synod Secretary, Very Reverend Dr Kennedy Ugah, Head of Department, Religion and Human Relations Department, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Dr Stanley Mgbemena and many others.
