The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu, says Anambra State has witnessed tremendous development in all sectors of the economy, especially road, where he noted that construction and rehabilitation works are going on in all the twenty-one local government areas of the state.

 

He noted that security of lives and property, ease of doing business, as well as quality service delivery have been institutionalized by Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration.

 

Speaking in an ABS flagship program, “Nzuko Anambra,” Prince Uchendu noted that the development of Anambra State is a collective responsibility, and appealed to the political class; irrespective of party affiliation; and Ndi Anambra in general to continue to pray for the Governor and support his programs and policies geared towards giving citizens a livable and prosperous megacity by thinking of what they can do for the state, and not only what the state can do for them, as well as paying their taxes and levies promptly; considering the fact that the Governor is making prudent management of tax payers money.

 

This he said has culminated in free education from primary to senior secondary school three, job creation, quality service delivery, as well as public private community partnership programs that enable him achieve more for the state.

 

The Orumba South council boss described as top-notch quality of road constructions going on in the state, and identified good road network as catalyst for rapid development, adding that when all the road projects are completed, Anambra can boast of having the best road network in Nigeria, which will help in evacuation of farm produce from farming communities.

 

He attributed the impressive home-coming of citizens, commissioning of many projects and other eventful ceremonies during last year’s Christmas and new year celebrations to the enabling environment sustained by Governor Soludo, and urged Ndi Anambra to leverage the conducive atmosphere to bring home their investments for the overall development of the state and the South east in general.

 

The Orumba South TC Chairman condemned in its entirety attitude of fake news purveyors on the social media and other platforms, which he described as ill wind that blows nobody any good, and called for a rethink and application of dialogue and constructive criticism in matters affecting governance in the interest of all and sundry.
