Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, has expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, in fostering development and empowerment of the youths through sports initiatives.
The union; through its National President, Barrister Titus Akpudo, commended the impactful role played by the Solution Community Football Shield Tournament, which he noted has provided a platform for numerous young talents to showcase their skills and potentially secure empowerment opportunities that can positively influence their lives.
Highlighting the significance of the tournament, Barrister Akpudo emphasized that many youths participating in the event view it as a crucial avenue for their talents to be recognized and utilized for personal advancement.
Barrister Akpudo said ASATU looks forward to the grand finale of the tournament scheduled to take place on the fourth of February 2024.
Anticipating widespread interest in the tournament, the ASATU boss revealed that the event will draw the attention of international spectators; with many foreigners expected to attend the thrilling match.
In a show of solidarity, Barrister Akpudo pledged unwavering support to Governor Soludo for his commitment to youth development through sports, emphasizing the need for collaboration between the union and the state government.
He expressed hope for future endeavors that contribute to the well-being of Anambra youths, while announcing plans for a female football tournament that will mark another edition of the Solution Community Shield Tournament, thereby reinforcing commitment to promoting sports and empowering youths across the State.
