A retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dr. Celestine Okoye, has commended the Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the significant progress in road construction in Awka metropolis, noting that the city is on the verge of leaving its glorified capital status to becoming a befitting capital.

 

Receiving Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service Sir Chido Obidiegwu, on a courtesy call, Dr. Okoye, a native of Awka lauded Governor Soludo’s efforts in enhancing the beauty of the state capital and facilitating smoother transportation for both vehicles and commuters.

 

Reflecting on the challenges faced during road construction in rainy season, Dr. Okoye acknowledged the remarkable improvement made during the dry season, emphasizing the positive impact on Awka’s development.

 

Based on his recent travels through various parts of Awka, Dr. Okoye expressed optimism about the city’s promising future, urging the Governor to continue his commendable work and extend road construction throughout the entire state capital.
