The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, Dr. Anselm Onuorah has pledged his support to the Acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Professor Kate Omenugha.

 

Dr Onuorah gave the assurance when Professor Omenugha and her Management Team and Staff paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Otuocha.

Dr. Onuorah reiterated his commitment to education, emphasizing that education remains a top priority of his administration and the people of Anambra East Local Government Area.

 

He pledged his support to the university and expressed his willingness to collaborate with the Acting Vice Chancellor on various initiatives that will ensure the success of her tenure.

Dr Onuoha acknowledged the significance of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University to Anambra East and expressed his dedication to fostering a conducive learning environment for students of the university.

 

Earlier, Professor Omenugha commended Dr. Onuorah for his various people-oriented policies and programmes that have touched his people positively, and appealed to him to help the university in the areas of security, building of a bus stop for students, among others.

The meeting served as an opportunity for the university leadership to formally introduce itself to the Chairman and discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly challenges faced by the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, that requires the support of the local government.

 

It also covered various topics, including potential areas for collaboration between the local government and the university, as well as strategies to address current challenges faced by the institution.
