All for Women Initiative Nigeria, A-WIN, has solicited the support and collaboration of the Federal Government to drive the needed change in the empowerment of women and reduce all forms of violence against women.

 

The non-governmental Organisation made the call during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite in Abuja.

Briefing the Minister, the founder of the NGO, Comrade Stella Igboka noted that the visit became imperative due to the urgent need to empower women and make them less dependent to reduce their vulnerability to abuse.

 

She disclose that the organization has scheduled 7th March 2024 to enlighten and sensitize rural women and the girl child who are the lowest income earners and pointed out that the group seeks to realize a society where dignity, rights, and virtues of womanhood are protected.

Receiving the delegation, Dr. Uzoka-Anite who spoke through the member representing Oyi and Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Honourable Maureen Gwacham, thanked the team for their love and commitment to improving the living conditions of women and assured that the Federal Government will continue to partner the group to better the living condition of the populace.

The Minister assured that the ministry will evaluate and analyze their requests with a view to fruitful partnership and collaboration.
