The impact of Sir Emeka Offor Foundation on the lives of widows and the vulnerable will last a lifetime; as beneficiaries of the foundation sang praises of their benefactor, Sir Emeka Offor, who; seeing the harsh economic condition in the country, gave out forty thousand bags of rice to vulnerable widows in Anambra State to cushion the effect of the hardship faced by the people.

Sir Emeka Offor Foundation is known for its charity and humanitarian services across Nigeria, especially to the downtrodden, and understanding the importance of knowledge in nation-building, the foundation also gave out educational material to students from primary to tertiary levels.

The Anambra business mogul and Chairman of Chrome Group of Companies, Sir Emeka Offor said he has enjoyed sixty-five years of God’s grace and unlimited favour.

He expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life, and to his wife, Barrister Adaora Offor, for the great work she has done with the “Touch Alive” housing project for widows in Oraifite, assuring that his foundation will continue to reach out to the vulnerable.

Speaking to ABS in separate interviews, some of the Presidents General and Coordinators who received bags of rice on behalf of their local governments, including Chief Damian Atuigwe, Engineer Anthony Ejiofor, Mrs. Ifeoma Uzokwe and Sir Maduabuchi Okafor, said they will ensure that the items get to the intended persons, and appreciated the foundation for having the interest of the people at heart.

The event featured match past from schools in Oraifite community, cutting of cake by the celebrant, and presentation of gifts from individuals and groups.
