Anambra State House of Assembly has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing activities of the state Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, and called for review and upgrade of the Anambra state Social Register.

 

The Chairman, House Committee on Economic Planning, SDGs and International Organizations, Honourable Paul Obu, made this known to newsmen after the committee embarked on oversight visit to the ministry.

 

Honourable Obu, who represents Orumba North Constituency at the State Assembly, restates the committee’s contentment with the ministry’s performance, citing their findings after the oversight as evidence of effective implementation.

 

He acknowledged that while most of the ministry’s projects are completed, there are still a few outstanding ones, but noted that the overall operations are commendable.

 

In her remarks, the state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budgeting, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, stated that the visit was necessary in making the activities of the ministry known.

 

She emphasized the importance of reviewing and upgrading the Anambra State Social Register to ensure accuracy and relevance.
