An environmentalist, Chief Chukwuka Okonkwo has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his clean, green and sustainable Anambra initiative.

 

Chief Okonkwo, an architect who was speaking in Awka recently, noted that the initiative is giving the state a new aesthetic look, unlike what was obtainable before the assumption of office of Governor Soludo.

 

He disclosed that Governor Soludo through the clean, green and sustainable environment initiative provided a serene environment for the state, and that it will help immensely to tackle the menace of gully erosion that is threatening the existence of most Anambra communities.

 

According to Chief Okonkwo, Awka the state capital is now wearing a new look most especially, Okpuno, Nodu, Club Road, Y junction, Ekwueme square among other areas where people now testify about its cleanliness these days.

 

The Aguluezechukwu community leader called on all the transition committee chairmen of the various local government traditional rulers and town union executives in the state to embrace the initiative for a liveable and prosperous Anambra that will be beneficial to the residents of the State.
