The pet project of the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo and a non-governmental organization, All for Women Initiative Nigeria, A-WIN will collaborate to re-invigorate the communal upbringing of children in the State.

 

The Governor’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo who made this known when she received in audience a delegation of A-WIN, at the Governor’s lodge Amawbia, thanked the group for the initiative and assured them of her strong collaboration to ensure that all their lofty vision and mission are achieved.

Mrs Soludo frowned that communal parenting which African societies were known for is being lost, which the consequences are the rise in crime, loss of valuable etiquettes and moral decadence in the society.

 

She re-emphasized the importance of healthy living among women as the engine house to healthy family and asked women to pay attention to what they eat.

Contributing, Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Mrs Ify Obinabo recounted the various breakthroughs the present administration has recorded in the effort to end violence and explained that these success and justice delivered for victims are the reason more people are confident to speak up and speak out when they bear witness or become victim of such incidents.

Earlier, the Founder of A-WIN, Mrs Stella Igboka decried the status of women in the modern Nigerian society despite numerous efforts to change the narrative, emphasizing that this has continued to greatly contribute to the exposure of the gender to many societal vices.
