The remains of Late Deaconess Victoria Ezeamakam have been laid to rest at her husband’s compound in Umuatuegwu Uhuobo village, Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area.
The late Deaconess Ezeamakam, aged seventy-two, was the mother of a staff of Information Communication Technology Department of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Miss Oluchi Ezeamakam.
The funeral ceremony attracted ministers of God, members of Assemblies of God Church, Umuobam kindred, in-laws, the ABS family, friends and well-wishers.
The Late Deaconess Ezeamakam was described as an intelligent, enthusiastic, strong, energetic, hardworking, and devoted member and Secretary of the Assemblies of God Church, Okija.
According to her biography, she was a hustler, tailor and singer a who won award as the best sopranist at Sanit James Anglican Church, Umunya before her demise.
Ministering during the burial service, Reverend Gideon Enya who anchored on the topic, “Faith of a Christian in resurrection and duty of Christians towards the death of a loved one”, said that whosoever is baptized and believes in Christ do not die rather they transcend to be with their maker.
He encouraged the bereaved’s family to take solace in the Lord as the life of their late mother was filled with testimonies of her humanism and love, calling on all that gathered to live their lives according to the precept of Christ so as not to be found wanting during the last day.
Speaking shortly after the service, the son of the deceased, Revered Paul Chiututu said the demise of their mum was a very big challenge to them but they believe strongly that they will meet again on the resurrection day.
The first daughter of the deceased, Miss Ezeamakam said her late mother taught her how to be humble, accommodating, receptive and how to be benevolent to the needy, describing her late mother as caring and loving woman who left good legacies to her children to emulate.
Commiserating with the family on behalf of the ABS, Mr Theophilus Ojukwu described Miss Ezeamakam as a dedicated staff of ABS, who has contributed to the success of the establishment while praying for the eternal rest of Deaconess Ezeamakam’s soul.
Late Deaconess Ezeamakam left her husband, Sir Fredrick Ezeamakam, seven children, ten grand-children, in-laws and many relations to mourn her demise.
