Mothers have been charged to reflect on their lives and live up to the responsibilities of motherhood.

 

The Archdeacon, Adazi-Ani Archdeaconry and Vicar, Saint Jude’s Parish Adazi-Ani, Venerable Chris Okafor gave the charge during the Mothers Sunday Service in the Church.

Venerable Okafor implored mothers to cultivate the virtues of humility and love in their relationships with their husbands, children and the society and a build healthy and peaceful homes that would create a peaceful society.

 

He explained that women are celebrated because of their numerous contributions to child’s upbringing and to the growth of the nation and asked mothers to place priority on their homes.

Also speaking, the Vicar, Saint Pauls Parish, Umuokpu-Awka, Venerable Ifeanyi Umeh noted that given the present economic situation in the country, mothers are helpmates to their husbands, urging them to should live exemplary lives and support their spouses in all circumstances.

On his part, the Vicar All Souls Parish Enugwu-Ukwu, Reverend Sunny David, advised mothers to live up to their obligations by ensuring that they impact the right values, as well as monitor their children and build their homes in the solid foundation.

In their various interviews, the Vice President women ministry in Adazi-Ani Archdeaconry, Mrs. Chioma Okafor and Wife of the retired Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Mrs. Eugenia Okpala said mothers should give their children equal love noting that one of mother’s role is to ensure harmony in their homes and by extension, the society.
