He performed the function at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Awka.
The new Permanent Secretaries are Mr. Joachin Achor, Mr. Adebayo Ojeyinka, Engineer Michael Obiekwe, Engineer Obi Okonkwo, Barrister Ndirika Onyekwelu, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo, and Mr. Victor Ezekwo.
Others are Mrs. Chinwe Achugbu, Mrs. Ifeoma Agbaizu, Barrister Nkiru Nwankwo, Engineer Martin Agbili, Mr. Tochukwu Obodogha, Mr. Ifeatu Emodi, Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo, Engineer Florence Idigo-ibenta, Barrister Jacinta Mokwe, Mr. Jerome Ilokwu, and Mrs Chinyere Nwabachili.
Performing the function Governor Soludo described them as fit for the purpose, having garnered years of experience on the job, asking them to be mindful of the oath they took.
Governor Soludo expressed optimism that they will deliver adequate excellence service, asking them to conduct themselves as men and women of honour.
While stating that they were appointed based on merit as very many people competed for the office, Governor Soludo revealed that this is the first time such appointees went through a thorough competitive process
He disclosed that their postings will be made shortly and asked them to be the change they want to see in their respective ministries and charged them to partner and strategically work with their commissioners to deliver quality service to the people.
Earlier, the Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe recalled that on August, twenty-fourth last year examinations for the respective candidates was conducted, after which a search process ensued to single out exceptional civil servants and expressed gratitude to the Governor for his support.
In their separate reactions, Mr. Joachin Achor, Mr. Adebayo Ojeyinka, Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo and Mrs Chinyere Nwabachili assured to deliver their best to enthrone a better society.
The event featured swearing in by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Sylvia Ifemeje.
