The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze has said that the volume of achievements recorded by Governor Chukwuma Soludo in two years in all sectors of the state economy is a clear indication of his mandate to really make Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland.

 

 

 

In his Congratulatory Message to Governor Soludo on behalf of the State Legislature, on his two years in office, Right Honourable Udeze who described Governor Soludo’s two years in office as eventful, noted that the greatest thrust of his government is that he has not borrowed any money approved for him by the State Legislature for state’s development, yet he has surprised Ndi Anambra with tangible human and infrastructural developments.

 

 

 

The Speaker stated categorically that Governor Soludo’s Five Transformational Theoretical Framework, which are, sustainable environment and urban development, public service reform, revised justice and security architecture, infrastructural and economic transformation as well as human capital and social development have been put into practical terms in the Governor’s massive development drive in the state.

 

 

 

He enumerated some of the achievements of Governor Soludo in two years in office to include employment of five thousand teachers and ongoing recruitment of more three thousand, employment of four hundred health workers as well as building and rehabilitation of hospitals, free education, completed and ongoing road constructions in almost all the local government areas in the state, relative security of lives and property of Ndi Anambra, environmental sanitation and urban regeneration, improved agricultural system, youth empowerment as well as the ongoing construction of new Government House and Governor’s Lodge among others.

 

 

 

Right Honourable Udeze who said he embarked on a tour of completed and ongoing road projects in the state with the lawmakers to inspect Governor Soludo’s giant strides in road infrastructure in line with the statutory oversight function of the legislature, expressed satisfaction with the number of roads completed and ongoing, quality of work and the pace at which the roads and the Ekwulobia flyover bridge are progressing.

While calling on Ndi Anambra especially politicians irrespective of their party affiliations to continue to give maximum support to Governor Soludo for his good governance in the state, the Speaker thanked the Governor in a special way for transforming the State House of Assembly under his watch through the completed reconstruction and beautification of the Legislative Complex and office block in addition to his promise to commence the second phase of transformation of the State House Of Assembly soon.
