A Town hall meeting has been held by the new leadership of New Auto Spare Parts Market Nkpor, to interact with traders as well as inform them of the inconclusive handover by the past administration of the market.
The meeting attracted a large turnout of traders who condemned the handover process.
Addressing the traders, the new caretaker Chairman of the New Auto Spare Parts Market Nkpor, Chief Stephen Ofoleh, while highlighting the documents and property handed over to them spoke on the missing Corporate Affairs Commission Registration papers and Agreement paper for land purchased , and promised to recover them through a due process.
One of the traders, Mr. Emmanuel Izuagba, expressed sadness over the missing papers and wondered why the past administration should omit such an aspect which is very important to the members of the Market.
Earlier before the commencement of the meeting, the Chairman with his executive inspected the market’s monthly sanitation exercise, their toilet facilities with a steady water supply which was abandoned for a very long time, installed solar lights donated by the traders at all the strategic places in the Market, among others.
Some of the traders who bare their minds on the recent development, thanked Chief Ofoleh for his leadership style, saying that they know him as a man of his words even as they expressed satisfaction and hope that he will ensure the return of the market to its former glory.
